Equipment power planning

Industrial equipment installs go wrong when the power requirements are confirmed last. We start from the nameplate and the installation manual, verify voltage, phase and full-load current, then confirm the feeder, overcurrent protection and disconnecting means against the available service.

Three-phase system work

Three-phase branch circuits and feeders are installed with attention to conductor sizing, voltage drop over the actual run, rotation, and terminations that will hold up under load and vibration.

Feeder and disconnect installations

Feeders, junction boxes, disconnecting means and equipment terminations are installed with supports, routing and working clearances that reflect how the space is actually used and maintained.

Facility modifications

Layout changes, added equipment and relocated machinery usually require distribution changes. We evaluate the existing panel capacity and available spaces before committing to a scope.

Troubleshooting methodology

We work from the symptom to the measurement rather than from the symptom to a parts swap: confirm the reported condition, take readings under load where it is safe to do so, isolate the failure point and document what was found.

Coordination and shutdown planning

Work that requires de-energizing production equipment is planned in advance with the facility contact — scope, sequence, isolation, expected duration and the condition the equipment will be returned in.

Scope of capability

Civitas Electrical takes on industrial work it can complete correctly. We do not represent capability in engineering design, PLC or controls programming, medium-voltage work or hazardous-location classification. If a project requires those, we will say so.

Frequently asked questions

Not covered here? Send the details and we will respond as soon as possible.

Do you install power for production equipment?

Yes. Equipment power connections, three-phase branch circuits, disconnects and motor circuits are core industrial work for us.

Do you perform PLC or controls programming?

No. We install and support control power and equipment power. Programming, engineering design and medium-voltage work are outside the capability we represent.

Can you work during a scheduled shutdown?

Yes. Shutdown work is planned in advance with the facility contact so the scope, isolation and expected duration are agreed before the equipment comes down.

Do you handle power-quality complaints?

We can evaluate power-quality and harmonic symptoms, take measurements and identify contributing conditions or recommend a specialist where a deeper study is warranted.

Are you available as a subcontractor?

Yes. Send the project details and we will confirm whether the scope is a fit before quoting.

Discuss an Industrial Electrical Project

Send the equipment details, drawings or facility scope and Civitas Electrical will review the request and confirm scope fit.
